Mourning my beloved motorcycle.

I seem to find myself drifting or coasting quite a lot recently. Ever since the crash i have lost my drive, i just get angry at my predicament. For those who don't know, i was taken off my motorcycle by a car recently which has left me with a DVT in my leg and killed my beloved Suzuki SV 650 S, Chewie.
I hadn't owned Chewie very long, about six months but i had fun with her.

Her is a picture of her before the crash.

and after

Anyone who rides will tell you, you make a connection with your bike. Its like having a pet. In a weird way you love it. You have memories with it. So when something like this happens it hurts in a strange way. Its strange because you know its just a machine but you love it at the same time and you miss it.

Anyone who talks about riding will immediately use the word freedom. But what do they mean by that? Freedom from what? Freedom from whom? I guess for me its the fact that we are all overly careful these days. People don't take as many risks. people don't take the opportunities they used to for fear of the worst case scenario. Motorcycles offer you a way out of that way of thinking. Obviously there are different types of risks and I'm not saying be an idiot but live a little.
Motorcycles are a risk yes but they open you up to a new way of thinking and living. It helps you find yourself and what you like and what sort of person you are, because it frees your mind from conventional ways of thinking and living. You step away from planning and allow yourself to go with the flow and do things in the spur of the moment because you gain what i like to call the "lets just go for a ride" mentality.

The "lets just go for a ride" mentality is much like the "lets go to the pub" mentality. Its a fix all problems solution. If your happy go for a ride, if your sad go for a ride, angry, celebrating, mourning, etc, just go for a ride. It fixes everything, but unlike the pub, going for a ride doesn't drown your problems in poison, it allows you to either just let go of the issue or just mull it over until it is no longer an issue. Even better you can go for a ride with friends or on your own and it will help either way.
Maybe that is what we mean by freedom but it is freeing. That ability to let go from your problems and concentrate on the sound of your engine and the feel or the road travelling up through the tires, forks, handlebars and into your hands. Knowing that if you drop your foot off the pegs just a little, then it will be dragging across the ground. The instancey of it all is intoxicating.

Your bike is the key to that freedom, that happiness. Maybe that is why we love the machine like it is a living thing, because it makes us feel more alive. Maybe that's why it hurts when it looks like mine currently does, because you have had that freedom and happiness taken away.

I hope people read this and think about bikers differently. I hope they see what it means to us, that it is more than just a mode of transport, its a lifestyle and an escape from everyday life. It helps us find enjoyment in the little things in life and helps us let go of the seemingly overwhelming problems, that really don't matter at all. It helps us be a child in an adults world, which is a good thing we all need to do it from time to time.

I think that's me done for the night, so until next time.

Feminazi's

So. As I said in my initial post, this is for me to vent the random bursts of insanity that erupt from my; fairly broken, messed up, slightly pickled but mostly, just out of control brain.

the subject that started off this particular (and i use this term very loosely in this case) "Brain Wave", is the concept of modern day feminism.
Now i know that this has become a taboo subject for all men for fear of being called a fascist or sexist or other derogatory words to that effect. However, as i have lost the will to give a shit about what people think about me, i am going to attempt to tackle this problem.

Anyone who is reading this will probably be asking,  "what has started this guy off on such a dangerous subject?" I will tell you what...... My youngest sister.
Don't get me wrong, both of my sisters (of which i have two who are 14 and 16) are very intelligent and brilliant. Its just that my youngest is very angry with the world, which is understandable for a girl of her age, but she seems to have used up all her intelligence in misdirecting that anger, rather than reading the situation from another point of view. Granted i am just as guilty of this, but she has a chance of making a difference in a way that i don't. so if she misdirects her anger it could influence a generation.

So this is the problem: Feminism as an ideology is supposed to promote equality for ALL of humanity. The ALL is very important as it encompasses male, female, gay, straight, bi, trans, black white, etc. By this definition, I would class myself as a feminist, I may generalise occasionally but on the whole I judge people on who they are and what they do not on  sexuality, gender or race.
The problem is that feminism does not do this. It has been hi-jacked by a select few women who can't wake up and see the world for what it is and judge everyone by the acts of a few. For the rest of this rant they will be known as Feminazi's.

Let me get one thing perfectly clear before i get shot by some angry feminazi who doesn't understand what I'm saying. I'm not saying you should be oppressed or raped or any of the other bullshit i have heard some feminazi's say. Yes rape is wrong. Yes two people doing the same job should get the same pay regardless of race or gender and quite frankly i couldn't give a shit how many people you have slept with, as long as you are responsible and don't cheat on your partner if you have one (both men and women) go for it have fun.

The problem is everything is supposedly sexist or racist and to be quite frank its horse shit. I should be able to ask a crying girl if she is alright without being accused of taking advantage when all I want to do is make sure she is alright. I would do the same for a guy. I should be able to hold a door open or offer help to a women struggling to lift something without being shouted at for belittling her. its called looking out for one another. and these aren't one off cases, they happen all the time.
This is a select few women all of whom class themselves as feminists, fighting for the rights of women. much like it is a tiny proportion of the male population who think the way they believe all men think.

Yes men look at women in the same way women look at men. ITS NATURAL GET OVER IT. And yes on average men are stronger than women, anyone who disputes that is being ridiculous, its simple biology. The majority of feminists problems are arguments with biology, like a men are more likely to look at a women in a sexual way because we are wired to breed. that is how nature works. that is not to say they will act on it but, yes humans are still animals, we still have a primal instinct to pass on our genes.
Yes men on average get paid more than women. that is because men occupy higher paid jobs, not because men get paid higher for the same jobs. that is not because women are not capable of doing those jobs. Just that they don't apply for them. if you don't apply you won't get the job, you won't get higher pay. And a lot of the time these are jobs that require a high level of risk or long hours which men are more likely to go for than women because once again men are biologically hard wired to do what ever it takes to provide. In the same way women are more likely to take roles dealing with children or caring, because that is the way they are wired, to do what ever it takes to care and look after.

I think this is the last point and that is the subject of jokes. I don't know why but for some reason women don't seem to deal with offencive jokes the way men do. I don't know why but they are jokes. whether you find them funny or not is irrelevant. Its a joke stop being so tightly wound.

I have put a link below to someone who can explain this better than me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8M7KGe2UnmE

I know this is not very well written but i needed to get it off my chest. I do thoroughly recommend watching the video it is an eye opener.

And for any angry Feminazis watch the video. If you are still angry. Please feel free to play in traffic because I won't read or care for any ill informed insults, I will just laugh at you.

For anyone else i hope you enjoyed this. If there is any other issue you would like my opinion on please just leave a comment and I will try and get round to it.

Hello Internet

Well....Ummm.. Hello Internet I guess. I genuinely have absolutely no idea where to start with this, so i guess i will start with a brief intro into who i am and why i am here.

Well i have been told you are not supposed to give to much information away on these things, so i guess "who i am" is rather difficult to explain. However, i can tell you about me; I am 20 years old, i am a massive petrol head with a particular love of motorcycles, i am very opinionated, i love music, i play guitar, sing and occasionally write songs too. Anyone who knows me, will have now worked out that its me so hi guys! Anyone else who doesn't know me will probably already be thinking "ok this guy is a nob". hopefully i will be able to convince you otherwise at a later date.

So why am i here? Not to be confused with the Philosophical question, i am only talking about, why have i started blogging now. Well the answer is fairly simple. I rant a lot and i mean A LOT and sometimes; during those rants i stumble on something brilliant or funny or something someone else might find useful. So the sensible thing, that was suggested by one of my mates (who usually gets the pleasure of listening to these rants) was to start a blog.

So... Until i can think of something interesting to shout about.....Hello Internet.
